Cars 4 (previously known as Cars Forever as a working title), is a 2028 American computer-animated sports action comedy-adventure film produced by Pixar Animation Studios for Walt Disney Pictures. It is the fourth and final installment in the Cars franchise, the sequel to Cars (2006), Cars 2 (2011), and Cars 3 (2017) and is being directed by Brian Fee.
Meet the cast Selena Gomez, Joey King, Bill Hader, Anna Faris, Andy Samberg, TJ Miller, Kevin James, Will Smith, Bruce Willis, Benjamin Bratt, Stephen Stanton, and Hank Azaria.
Owen Wilson stated at a Cars 3 press event that possible stories have been discussed for a Cars 4, though he would personally like for a fourth Cars film to delve into aspects of the thriller genre, akin to Cars 2.
Set after Cars 3, McQueen and Ramirez went on to street racing, to face a new BMW rival, alongside Storm, between the streets of New York to become the ultimate street racer, and to find the lost missing Piston Cup, while some notable spies takes on the advantage to strike back before it falls to their own hands from it's rivals.
Cars 4 will feature the return of previous casts from Cars 2 and Cars 3, including Emily Mortimer as Holley Shiftwell, and Michael Caine as Finn McMissile, both reprising their roles. Cars 4 will also have notable surprises and a brand new rival car played by George Lopez as Duke Power.
Cars 4 is scheduled to be released in theaters across the United States on June 16, 2028.
Plot[]
After the events of Cars 3 (2017) and Cars on the Road (2022), Lightning McQueen, Mater, Smokey, Mack, Luigi, Guido and Cruz Ramirez discover a race track course in Arizona where they meet Arthur Royston, Matilda Swiftpower, Paul Driftwood, Gerry Lowben, Harold Joltline and Adeline Gearson, alongside an Orange operator car named Boris, but things get out of hand when a BMW rival car named Duke Power, shows that he'll be faster than McQueen, Cruz and the other new racers, will Arthur, the super speed's leader show Lightning a new way to defeat Duke, or will it be time out once they get to New York City in time?
