A Cape giant zebra (Equus capensis) is the largest species of zebra that is found throughout the savannas of southern Africa. It was once extinct, but has since been brought back from extinction by SciiFii and reintroduced to Africa by SciiFii's conservationists to help boost Africa's collapsing biodiversity and to allow extinct animals to retain their own ecological niches. The conservation status of the Cape giant zebra is Near Threatened due to poaching and some habitat loss, but conservationists are trying to help save this species, and, like zebras, the population trend of Cape giant zebras is increasing thanks to conservation efforts.
