Nacht der Untoten (German for Night of the Undead) is the first map in World at War and is the smallest and simplest, being only three rooms on the map. The Zombies on this map are less deadly than the ones on other maps, as they do not reach through windows and being the least smart. The characters are unnamed soldiers and features the

A radio can also be found which can play various songs including the Black Cats soundtrack, the Red Army theme, the Koniggratzer Marsch, WTF or songs from the Dead Ops Arcade soundtrack. The perks are Juggernog, Mule Kick, Quick Revive and Double Tap, and the weapons are from World at War as well as the Ray Gun and molotov cocktails. The wall-weapons are Kar98k, M1A1 Carbine, Double-Barreled Shotgun, Thompson, BAR, M1897 Trench Gun, Stielhandgranates and Sawed-Off Double-Barreled Shotgun with Grip.

Origins[]

In a timeline separate from the lives they'd previously known, Dempsey, Nikolai and Takeo were each ordered to intercept the infamous Dr. Edward Richtofen on the battlefields of World War One. Little did they realize, they would soon be forced to fight side-by-side in order to survive the onslaught of the undead horde.

Origins is the sixth map in Black Ops II and the first on the alternate timeline, and the wonder weapons are the four supernatural staffs, G-Strike and the One Inch Punch, the Panzersoldat, the Mark IV Tank, the Maxis Drone, a new utility giving a random perk and new power ups. It is the largest map and six generators can be found across the map to power it up, and they are three Giant Robots traveling across the map. It also debuts challenges and a shovel can be used to dig up Zombies, staff parts, power ups, weapons and live grenades. The main easter egg is Little Lost Girl and the musical easter eggs are Archangel by Elena Siegman, Makulah and Clark S. Nova, Shephard of Fire by Avenged Sevenfold and Aether. The off-wall weapons are M14, Ballista, Five-Seven, B23R, AK-74u, MP40, STG-44, Remington 870 MCS, Claymores and Semtex.

Shadows of Evil is the first map in Black Ops III and takes place in the 1940's Morg City in the nightmarish realm created by the Shadowman. A new perk is Widow's Wine and the new enemies are Margwa, Parasites and Insanity Elementals and the features are Zombie Shield, Civil Protector and the wonder weapons are Apothicon Servant, Apothicon Swords and Lil' Arnies, and they are harvest pod drops which can drop power ups, weapons, live grenades, Zombies and a part for the Apothicon Servant. The main easter egg is Apocalypse Averted and the musical easter eggs are Snakeskin Boots, an instrumental version and Cold Hard Cash. The off-wall weapons are RK5, Sheiva, L-CAR 9, KRM-262, Kuda, Vesper, VMP, M8A7, KM-44, HVK-30, Bootlegger, Bowie Knife and Trip Mines.

Der Eisendrache (German for The Iron Dragon) is the second map in Black Ops III and the wonder weapons are the Ragnarok DG-4 and Wrath of the Ancients. Gravity Lifts called Wundersphere can be used and the Death Ray and Gate Trap make their debut. The main easter egg is My Brother's Keeper and the musical easter eggs are Dead Again and a modified Samantha's Lullaby, and there is also a Plunger melee weapon. Zetsubou No Shima[]

On a remote island in the Pacific, a mysterious facility hides the secrets behind Division 9's sinister experiments.

Zetsubou No Shima (Japanese for Island of Despair) is the third map in Black Ops III and takes place on the abandoned islands in the pacific, where the ruins of Division 9's research lies. It debuts the swimming mechanic and Spiders serve as the special round, and the map also features the Zipline as well as a Sewer Pipe and the wonder weapons are the Skull of Nan Sapwe and KT-4 as well as the gas mask and new shield. The off-wall weapons are RK5, Sheiva, Pharo, L-CAR 9, KRM-262, Argus, Kuda, Vesper, VMP, KN-44, M8A7, ICR-1, HVK-30, Bowie Knife and Trip Mines.

As their journey nears it's end, our heroes must battle ancient beast in the war torn ruins of Stalingrad.

Gorod Krovi (Russian for City of Blood) is the fourth map in Black Ops III and takes place in Stalingrad with Dragons present on the map to block off areas temporarily by breathing fire and another one can be ridden. Russian Mangler Soldiers, Electrified Zombies and Valkyrie Drones make it's debut, and the main easter egg is Love and War while the musical easter eggs are Dead Ended by Clark S. Nova, Ace of Spades by Motorhead and Samantha's Sorrow. They are new traps and the Bridge is another utility to quickly move from one place to another, and the new wonder weapons are GKZ-45 Mk3, Dragon Strike and Gauntlet of Siegfried. There is also a new shield, Guard of Fafnir, and mounted MG42's. The off-wall weapons are RK5, Sheiva, Pharo, L-CAR 9, KRM-262, Kuda, VMP, Vesper, Argus, KN-44, ICR-1, M8A7, HVK-30, Bowie Knife, Wrench, Malice, Slash N' Burn and Fury's Song.

Revelations is the fifth map in Black Ops III and takes place in a shattered world of previous maps including elements of Nacht der Untoten, Verruckt, Kino der Toten, Shangri-La, Mob of the Dead, Origins, Shadows of Evil, Der Eisendrache and Zetsubou No Shima. The main easter egg is For The Good Of All and the musical easter eggs is the Gift. GobbleGums[]

Players can choose and customize GobbleGum packs, dispensing them from machines that grant the player a bonus or ability. They are four types: Classic, Mega, Rare Mega and Ultra-Rare Mega, and each is color-coded with blue being round-based, orange activating immediately or automatically in certain circumstances, green is time-based and purple is player activated as well as colorful ones which just alter visual aspects.

Enemies/Bosses[]

  • Zombie: Deceased humans that have been reanimated and the main enemies on every map, created by Element 115. The zombies have varying speeds and movements, and some are exclusive to certain maps. They only attack through melee attacks and can be gibbed, and will chase after the nearest player. Zombies are capable of limited speech including shouting the words "Sam" when attacking or "Monkey" when presented with a Monkey Bomb. Zombies' eye colors are either blue, orange or red, and their health increases every round.
  • Hellhound: An aggressive and murderous zombified canine that are encountered on their own special round in Shi No Numa, Der Riese, Kino der Toten and Der Eisendrache, and make an appearance on Moon. They spawn randomly throughout the map from a ball of lightning every four to five rounds and they attack with their teeth and claws or by exploding after death. The ground shakes whenever they spawn and a heavy fog covering a map, and the two variants are normal ones and flaming ones capable of exploding. When the last Hellhound in their special round is killed, it will always drop a Max Ammo power up.
