Plot

In 2018 at Hemery High School, Los Angeles Buffy Summers at junior prom immolates her high school gym killing off a horde of vampires as their leader Laibach kills her watcher Merrick. Laibach fakes his death and after Buffy is cleared of arson her single mother Joyce then relocates them to the small town of Sunnydale the following year.

Nightmares begin of a large eye, hellish hordes of vampires and demons, and an alternate version of herself.

Buffy is then enrolled at Sunnydale high school where she is befriended by IT student Willow, skater slacker Xander, dancer Jesse and fellow new classmate Anya.

The school's librarian Giles reveals himself as her new watcher and informs her that Sunnydale is atop one of the earthbound Eyes of Hell, a sunken church (once belonging to an ancient vampire known as The Master slain by her slayer predecessor) being the gateway to this when harnessed.

Buffy saves Jesse, Willow and Xander among Sunnydale students abducted from the local nightclub the Bronze who are taken to the local cemetery en route to the Church. Laibach is revealed as being behind the abduction and a sacrificial ritual is performed with the other abducted students which creates a time rift, causing dimensions to bleed into another.

With this an alternate dimension Buffy, Xander, Giles and Willow are expelled into this version of Sunnydale along with their associates.

Laibach plans to kill all versions of Buffy Summers and create a fold of all universes bleeding into another so as to create a bridge back to the hell dimension housing his fellow Old One gods.

All groups of heroes come together to prevent this as Laibach recruits followers in the current dimensions' invisibility powered student Marcie, misogynist students Tucker Wells, Warren Mears, Pete Clarner, Giles friend of the past Ethan Rayne and vengeance demon in disguise Anya, as well as ancient cloven vampire Kakistos and the First Evil.

A battle erupts in the sunken church as all heroes gather along with three other alternate dimension expelled Buffy's and the Eye of Hell begins to open, all Buffy's are sucked in along with both Xanders, Willows, Giles, the one Cordelia and feuding vampires Spike and Angel.

Current dimension Angel in the Old One's hell is stripped of his soul reverting to his evil vampiric self Angelus facing off against the alternate Angel, who re-ensouls him with the aid of Cordelia.

The elder dimension Buffy dies at the end of several old ones as both Willow's combine their innate witchcraft abilities and disintegrate them.

A final battle ensues with Laibach and the current dimension Buffy slays him using a crumbling pillar as a stake.

The other Buffy's escape to the surface as the current dimension Buffy sacrifices herself as the Old One's dimension closes to pave a safe path for the others out of hell back to the surface.

All lapsed over alternate heroes return to their home dimensions as they bid farewell, but not before leaving the spell of Osiris to bring back the dead current Buffy.

The spell is performed and she is brought back, returning to her mother who announces she is pregnant, and after an ultrasound is confirmed to be a baby girl.

Buffy's self-sacrifice death activates a slayer in the town's local sheriff Peta Nova who aided in the fight against Laibach in the sunken church.
