Blinx 3D is a 2005 3D third-person platform video game developed by Artoon and published by Microsoft Studios. It was released exclusively on the Xbox console on August 22nd, 2005 and is a prequel to previous instalments: Blinx The Time Sweeper (2002) and Blinx 2: Masters of Time and Space (2004).


Blinx in his first contracted mission as a time sweeper, after graduating the Hourglass Academy is to apprehend Time Bandits Benito, Ugo and Cino. Accompanied by his graduate team of sweepers: The Numeron they succeed in defeating the three goons only to have them saved by a mysterious Time Lord known as Tempest Scratch who also subsequently transforms the rest of Blinx's feline colleagues into Time Monsters.

In order to stop Tempest and the now entitled Tom Tom Gang from ending the flow of time, he must travel to the worlds lost to time, and close them before releasing his former teammates from their monstrous prisons.

Aided by Rogue Paw, a feline sweeper ex-communicate and Treble Tail, a young male tomcat Hourglass Academy audiophile a heroic adventure across time and space begins.



The game follows the same gameplay mechanics as it's previous two instalments, though includes some new additional content: Including control over time options provided by Time Crystals, such as: Frame by Frame, Skip Forward & Back and Time Haze.

The player throughout the story, multiplayer mode and supporting mini-challenges can assume control of lead protagonist Blinx, Rogue Paw and or Treble Tail.

Rogue Paw

Rogue Paw has is a more swift combatant and evasive character, with additional luck attributed to nine time lives. Rogue also has a set of distinct time altering abilities that are different and relate to emotions: Happiness, Anger, Sadness, Love, Confusion and Fear. Happiness stuns time to move at a fast pace and keeps enemies from attacking, Anger has enemies attack each other and slows and fastens time. Sadness makes time slow and enemies stop attacking and keep to themselves. Love has the enemies follow in awe of Rogue and stops time. Confusion has time skip back and forth, while having enemies wander around aimelessly and Fear has the enemies cower in fear and frame by frame move time.

Treble Tail

Treble interjects music related abilities including Symphony, Sonnet, Ballad, Melody, Anthem and Tune. Symphony sweeps Time in a reverse, along with enemies, Sonnet, slows enemies and time, Ballad pulls enemies in a blast of fast forward, Melody hazes time and enemies, Anthem causes a skip of situation along with the enemies and Tune causes a jump from all times modes.
