Beyond the Grave is Florida-based death metal band Encephalitic Punishment's debut album, released on April 18th 1989. The band re-released the album in 2009 with live tracks to commemorate its 20th anniversary. The band are considered to be part of the second movement of death metal, emerging in the late 1980s-early 1990s. It is followed by 1990's Xenophyllic.
It contains seminal live favorites "Pegasus Blood", "Putrid Horde" and "The Rise of Decay". Robert "Ravager" Roener has called this album his favorite of the band's releases. Most of the songs are written by Rob "Ravager", Jeff Wagner and Jayson Nielmar.
