Main Cast[]
- Lyndsy Fonseca as Barbara Gordon/Batgirl:
Barbara Gordon is a 28-year-old librarian and former sidekick who must come out of retirement when her mentor is incapacitated. By day she works at Gotham University, which allows her time to research her cases, and by night she works from the Gotham Clocktower with the help of a few people who know her secret. Unlike other members of the Batfamily, she relies on her computer skills and photographic memory just as often as she does her acrobatics and martial arts and gadgets.
- Philip Winchester as Jason Bard:
Jason is one of the last members of Gotham's Special Crimes Division standing after Commissioner Gordon retired. Having only recently joined the force, transferring in from Gateway City, Jason brings his sense of justice, which usually involves being flexible and observant and waiting for the right time to strike. He does seem to be running from something in his past, though.
- Jane Levy as Vicki Vale:
One of the most enterprising and daring reporters in Gotham City, Vicki Vale, is a lifelong friend of Barbara Gordon from Vicki's earliest days at the Gotham Gazette. They're used to sharing tips and information, as well as exchanging the latest gossip, and sharing stories. Vicki and Tamara have a friendly rivalry and often bicker, but remain loyal to each other when times are tough.
- Nicole Beharie as Tamara Fox:
Tammy is Lucas' sister, and she is the one who has followed in their father's footsteps in business. At the young age of 30, she's become the Interim CEO of Wayne Enterprises, and she knows how to run the business better than anyone; and she also knows how to throw a party and is the best at helping Barbara unwind from her stressful life, both of them. While Vicki is more in tune with society's needs and demands, Tamara puts more emphasis on personal fulfillment when she talks to Barbara.
- Tristan Wilds as Lucas Fox:
Son of one of Bruce Wayne's trusted advisors, Lucas is a genius engineer and inventor, whom Barbara chooses to bring into her crusade for his technical know-how. He's the one that provides her all the gadgets she needs and keeps her equipment up to date. He does keep secrets close, which is why Barbara trusts him. Some of his secrets, like his crush on Barbara and his long-term crime-fighting machine project, may be too big to reveal, however.
- Lea Thompson as Dr. Leslie Thompkins:
Dr. Thompkins is a brilliant psychoanalyst, a friend of Bruce Wayne's with a deep understanding of the psychological afflictions that so often plague Gotham City citizens. She becomes Barbara's therapist and, through her expert insights, helps Barbara crack some of her toughest cases. Dr. Thompkins runs a small psychiatrist practice and occasionally consults with Arkham Asylum on their tough cases.

Tim Drake is a young savant with a penchant for computer hacking that makes him look up to Barbara. Using his wits and observation and research, he correctly identified Dick Grayson, the original Robin, then Bruce Wayne as Batman, and then Barbara as Batgirl. He works for Barbara in the Clocktower. Tim lives at home with his single father after his mother died of cancer last year. Secretly, he wants to be the next Robin.
- Dina Meyer as Batwoman/Kate Kane:
A mysterious and independently wealthy woman, The Batwoman is in normal life Kate Kane, heir to a fortune of old Gotham money and formerly military special forces. Batwoman watched her mother killed in front of her as a young girl. Her justice brand is much more painful and lethal, and she's always one step ahead of Barbara. She's also a lesbian who is far more in touch with herself and at peace with herself than Barbara or even Batman could ever hope to be.
