Balthazar, also known as Mr.Blake
Balthazar Blake is a powerful wizard, and also the master of Canary Raido, Tlob, and Charlotte. Balthazar Blake was one of the three apprentices taken on by Merlin, in an attempt to stop the evil witch Morgana le Fey, whom in present day, reborn as The Beast.
He is the steampunk-reality counterpart of Merlinean of the same name .
Personality and Traits
Mr. Blake's armor form
While his personality is nowhere to be different with his original counterpart, he seems to be more secretive than his counterpart does due to him uses alias Mr. Blake in his journey; he was unwilling to tell much about his backstory and true purpose in his teachings on Raido, even after his enemies claimed to has bad history with him. Though he did reveals his backstory on anyone, he intentionally revealed to them slowly up until Raido and his friends confronts Heralth.
Like his counterparts, the only thing that moved him forward during his journey to find the Prime Merlinean was his love with Veronica that has started long ago.
Balthazar's attire was identical with the ones that he wore both in medieval times and modern era. His medieval outfits consists of grey hooded cloak, a dark gray leather vest that worn over long-sleeved chainmail armor, a belt, and brown pants and boots. His modern outfit on the other hand, consists of fedora hat, black shirt, brown vest, brown arm warmers, sleeveless gloves, black pants, and pointy shoes.
When uses his Whitelight armor, hs appearance somewhat resembles a knight. His Whitelight mask is quite resembles Raido’s except for the mouth plate that silverish in color and more complicated in design, and has a cone-shaped hat instead of cap on his head. In this form, he appeared to be wearing a garb consists of aqua-colored vestment, dark grey pants, and blue pointy shoes. However, his shoulder, upper chest, and his upper arms were covered by plate armour which the part that covering his upper arm resembles flat tendrils. The similar tendril-like plates, which dark grey in color, also covered his tight and the area near his knee. He also had what appeared to be red faulds plate on his vestments, right on the hip area. The rest of his armored hands’ color match his plate armor, but his fingers glows in blue light. Each of his hands also having additional grey armor plates, though while his right arm resembles huge scales, the left one is quite plain albeit poined with a long, blade-like spike on the elbow. Armor that protect his legs mainly gray in colour, but has additional blue armor plates that embedded to protect his dry bones.
Weapons and Gadgets
While he mainly uses magic in combat, he also armed himself with variety of gatgets and weapons, such as:
- Mirror Trap Scroll: Scroll-like magical gadget that can be used to using the sealing powers of the Hungarian Mirror Trap enchantments for stealth purpose. It was his idea for Tlob having the same gadget with his.
- Swords: Though yet ever seen using this weapon, he have a good proficiency with this weapon, as he able to use an unicorn horn as the makeshift one.
Magic Spells
- Gigawatt Blade: Mr. Blake's impressive capabilities in elemental spells, especially electricity, enable him to mold electrical energy into blade form that surrounds his hand.
- Whitelight Magic: Like all Magus, he is capable to manipulate his body cells to generating exoskeleton-like suits of armor and also generates blades as well.
- Levitation Spell: Mr. Blake can telekinetically move objects around him both for defense and offense purposes.
- Air Blast: Mr. Blake can conjure a powerful concussive blast out of wind element to push his opponent.
- Plasma Bolt: Mr. Blake can conjure a ball of electrical energy and plasma. This is his weapon of choice aside Gigawatt Blade.
- Animation Spell: Balthazar can animate object to life he used this to animate his steel eagle.
- Ectoplasm Trap: Mr. Blake can conjure a ball of ectoplasm energy to slow down the target. It's unknown whether he also used the spell as the booby trap.
- Deflecting Mirror:Mr. Blake can conjure a mystical mirror that can deflect any projectiles.
