Avengers: Secret Wars is an upcoming superhero film, based on the Marvel Comics superhero team of the same name. Produced by Marvel Studios and distributed by Walt Disney Studios Motion Pictures, it is the sequel to Avengers: The Kang Dynasty (2025). The film is directed by Ryan Coogler, written by Michael Waldron, and stars a large cast consisting mostly of actors reprising their roles from previous MCU films. The film is scheduled to be released in 2025.

  • Benedict Cumberbatch as Dr. Stephen Strange: A neurosurgeon who became a Master of the Mystic Arts following a career-ending car accident.
  • Elizabeth Olsen as Wanda Maximoff / Scarlet Witch: A former Avenger gone rogue who can harness chaos magic, engage in telepathy and telekinesis, and alter reality.
  • Tom Hiddleston as Loki:
    Thor's adopted brother and the god of mischief, based on the Norse mythological deity of the same name. This is an alternate, "time variant" version of Loki who created a new timeline in Avengers: Endgame (2019) beginning in 2012. Because of this, he has not gone through the events of Thor: The Dark World (2013) or Thor: Ragnarok (2017), which reformed the previously villainous character before his death in Avengers: Infinity War (2018).
  • Mark Ruffalo as Bruce Banner / Smart Hulk:
    An Avenger and genius scientist who, because of exposure to gamma radiation, typically transforms into a monster when enraged or agitated, but has since managed to balance his two sides with gamma experimentation, enabling him to combine his intelligence with the Hulk's strength and physical stature.
  • Chris Hemsworth as Thor: An Avenger and the former king of Asgard, based on the Norse mythological deity of the same name.
  • Jeremy Renner as Clint Barton / Hawkeye: A master archer and a former Avenger and agent of S.H.I.E.L.D.
  • Don Cheadle as James "Rhodey" Rhodes / War Machine: An officer in the U.S. Air Force and Avenger who operates the War Machine armor.
  • Paul Rudd as Scott Lang / Ant-Man: An Avenger and former petty criminal with a suit that allows him to shrink or grow in scale while increasing in strength.
  • John Krasinski as Reed Richards / Mister Fantastic: A member of the Fantastic Four who gains the ability to stretch his body into different forms and lengths.
  • Emily Blunt as Sue Storm / Invisible Woman: Reed Richards's wife who has the ability to become invisible and generate force-fields.
  • Brie Larson as Carol Danvers / Captain Marvel: An Avenger and ex-U.S. Air Force fighter pilot whose DNA was altered during an accident, imbuing her with superhuman strength, energy projection, and flight.
  • Tom Holland as Peter Parker / Spider-Man: A teenager and Avenger who received spider-like abilities after being bitten by a radioactive spider.
  • Shameik Moore as Miles Morales / Spider-Man:
    An intelligent and rebellious teenager of African-American and Puerto Rican descent, who is imbued with spider-like abilities after being bitten by a mutated spider and eventually takes up the mantle of the masked vigilante Spider-Man. Moore previously voiced an animated counterpart of the character in the Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse film series.
  • Teyonah Parris as Monica Rambeau: The daughter of Air Force pilot Maria Rambeau and a captain in S.W.O.R.D. with the ability to absorb energy.
  • Evangeline Lilly as Hope van Dyne / Wasp: The daughter of Hank Pym and Janet van Dyne who is handed down a similar suit and the Wasp mantle from her mother.
  • Tessa Thompson as Valkyrie: The king of New Asgard, based on the mythological being Brynhildr.
  • Gemma Chan as Sersi: An empathetic Eternal with a strong connection to humans and the Earth, who can manipulate and transform matter through physical contact.
  • Djimon Hounsou as T'Challa / Black Panther: The king of the African nation of Wakanda who gains enhanced strength by ingesting the heart-shaped herb from another dimension. Hounsou previously voiced the character in the Black Panther animated series.
  • Anthony Mackie as Sam Wilson / Captain America: An Avenger and a former pararescueman who was trained by the military in aerial combat using a specially-designed wing pack.
  • Sebastian Stan as Bucky Barnes / Winter Soldier: An enhanced soldier and Steve Rogers's best friend during the 1940s who was presumed killed in action during World War II, before re-emerging as a brainwashed assassin in the present day.
  • Sophia Di Martino as Sylvie: A variant of Loki who attacked the "Sacred Timeline" and has enchantment powers.
  • Tatiana Maslany as Jennifer Walters / She-Hulk: A lawyer for the firm Goodman, Lieber, Kurtzberg & Holliway (GLK&H) who specializes in cases involving superhumans and becomes a large 6-foot-7-inch (2.01-meter), powerful, green-hued version of herself, similar to her cousin Bruce Banner, after getting accidentally cross-contaminated with his blood.
  • Benedict Wong as Wong: The Sorcerer Supreme and Strange's mentor and friend.
  • Xochitl Gomez as America Chavez: A teenager who has the ability to travel between dimensions by punching open doorways.
  • Tenoch Huerta as Namor: The king of Talokan, an ancient civilization of underwater dwelling people, who refer to him as the feathered serpent god K'uk'ulkan.
  • Letitia Wright as Shuri: The princess of Wakanda who designs new technology for the nation.
  • Kathryn Newton as Cassie Lang: Scott Lang's daughter who acquires a suit similar to her father's.
  • Oscar Isaac as Marc Spector / Moon Knight: A man with dissociative identity disorder (DID) who became the avatar for the Egyptian moon god Khonshu.
  • Hailee Steinfeld as Kate Bishop: A 22-year-old Hawkeye fan who became Barton's protégée and is trained to take over the mantle of Hawkeye.
  • Florence Pugh as Yelena Belova: A sister to Natasha Romanoff who was trained in the Red Room as a Black Widow.
  • Hayley Atwell as Peggy Carter / Captain Carter: An alternate version of Peggy Carter who received the Super Soldier Serum instead of Steve Rogers.
  • Chris Evans as Steve Rogers / Captain America: The former leader of the Avengers, World War II veteran and former fugitive, he was enhanced to the peak of human physicality by an experimental serum and frozen in suspended animation before waking up in the modern world.
    • Evans also reprises his role as Johnny Storm / Human Torch, an alternate version of Sue Storm's younger brother with the ability to shoot fireballs and fly from Tim Story's Fantastic Four duology (2005-2007).
  • Cobie Smulders as Maria Hill: A former high-ranking agent with S.H.I.E.L.D. who works closely with Nick Fury.
  • Charlie Cox as Matt Murdock / Daredevil: A blind lawyer who leads a double life as the vigilante Daredevil.
  • Jon Bernthal as Frank Castle / Punisher: A vigilante who aims to fight the criminal underworld by any means necessary, no matter how lethal the results.
  • Mahershala Ali as Eric Brooks / Blade: A half-vampire "daywalker" who hunts vampires.
  • Karen Gillan as Nebula: A member of the Guardians of the Galaxy, a former Avenger, and Gamora's adoptive sister who, similarly to her, was trained by their adoptive father Thanos to be his personal assassin.
  • Dave Bautista as Drax the Destroyer: A member of the Guardians and a highly skilled warrior whose family was slaughtered by Ronan, under the instructions of Thanos.
  • Ryan Reynolds as Wade Wilson / Deadpool: A wisecracking mercenary with accelerated healing but severe scarring over his body after undergoing an experimental mutation. Reynolds reprises his role from X-Men Origins: Wolverine (2009) and the Deadpool spin-off trilogy (2016-2024).
  • Hugh Jackman as Logan / Wolverine: A mutant, whose prodigious healing abilities and adamantium infused skeleton combine to make him virtually immortal. Jackman reprises his role from the X-Men film series (2000-2017).
  • James McAvoy and Patrick Stewart as Charles Xavier / Professor X: A mutant pacifist and the world's most powerful telepath. He is also a founder of Xavier's School for Gifted Youngsters, and leader of the X-Men. McAvoy and Stewart reprise their roles from the X-Men film series (2000-2019).
  • Michael Fassbender and Ian McKellen as Erik Lehnsherr / Magneto: A powerful mutant who can manipulate magnetic fields. Fassbender and McKellen reprise their roles from the X-Men film series (2000-2019).
  • Jennifer Lawrence as Raven / Mystique: A mutant with the shapeshifting ability, and also Xavier's childhood friend and adopted sister. Lawrence reprises her role from the X-Men prequel tetralogy (2011-2019).
  • Halle Berry as Ororo Munroe / Storm: A mutant who can manipulate weather and one of the most battle-tested and powerful X-Men. Berry reprises her role from the X-Men film series (2000-2014).
  • Sophie Turner as Jean Grey / Phoenix: An extremely powerful mutant scared of her telepathic and telekinetic powers, who is one of Charles Xavier's most prized students. Turner reprises her role from X-Men: Apocalypse (2016) and Dark Phoenix (2019).
  • Tye Sheridan as Scott Summers / Cyclops: Xavier's second-in-command and an instructor at the institute who serves as the X-Men's field leader. Sheridan reprises his role from X-Men: Apocalypse (2016) and Dark Phoenix (2019).
  • Nicholas Hoult as Hank McCoy / Beast: A mutant with leonine attributes, super-strength, agility, reflexes and enhanced speed. Hoult reprises his role from the X-Men prequel tetralogy (2011-2019).
  • Ioan Gruffudd as Reed Richards / The Maker: An alternate version of Reed who endured a series of tragedies and immense mental trauma. Gruffudd reprises his role from Story's Fantastic Four duology (2005-2007).
  • Julian McMahon as Victor Von Doom / Doctor Doom: The CEO of Von Doom Industries who is the archenemy of Reed Richards and the Fantastic Four. McMahon reprises his role from Story's Fantastic Four duology (2005-2007).
  • Nicolas Cage as Johnny Blaze / Ghost Rider: A motorcycle stunt man from an alternate reality who sold his soul to the devil to save his father from cancer, and became the devil's servant called the Spirit of Vengeance, a fiery spirit that feeds on the evil of its victims. Cage reprises his role from the Ghost Rider duology (2007-2011).
  • Eric Bana as Bruce Banner / Hulk: An alternate version of Banner who had ability to grow larger in size and become stronger when angered in his Hulk form. Bana reprises his role from Ang Lee's Hulk (2003).
  • Wesley Snipes as Eric Brooks / Blade: An alternate version of Blade who is highly skilled in martial arts and always equips himself with vampire-killing weapons. Snipes reprises his role from the Blade trilogy (1998-2004).
  • Thomas Jane as Frank Castle / Punisher: An alternate version of Castle who employs murder, kidnapping, extortion, coercion, threats of violence, and torture in his campaign against crime. Jane reprises his role from Jonathan Hensleigh's Punisher (2004).
  • Ben Affleck as Matt Murdock / Daredevil: An alternate version of Murdock who was blinded as a youth in an accident with bio-waste that drastically heightened his remaining senses and gave him a "sonar-sense", which allowed him to perceive his surroundings. Affleck reprises his role from Mark Steven Johnson's Daredevil (2003).
  • Andrew Garfield as Peter Parker / Spider-Man: An alternate version of Parker who was haunted by his failure to save his deceased girlfriend, Gwen Stacy. Garfield reprises his role from Marc Webb's The Amazing Spider-Man duology (2012-2014).
  • Tobey Maguire as Peter Parker / Spider-Man: An alternate version of Parker who utilizes organic webbing instead of web shooters like his alternate counterparts. Maguire reprises his role from Sam Raimi's Spider-Man trilogy (2002-2007).
  • Josh Brolin as Thanos: An intergalactic warlord from Titan who, in Avengers: Infinity War (2018), acquired all six Infinity Stones and triggered the Snap, killing half of all life in the universe.
  • Vincent D'Onofrio as Wilson Fisk / Kingpin: A powerful businessman and crime lord whose interests in the future of Hell's Kitchen brings him into conflict with Murdock and Daredevil.
  • Chris Pratt as Peter Quill / Star-Lord: The half-human, half-Celestial leader of the Guardians who was abducted from Earth as a child and raised by a group of alien thieves and smugglers called the Ravagers.
  • Samuel L. Jackson as Nick Fury: The former director of S.H.I.E.L.D. who was working with the Skrulls in deep space for years before returning to Earth.
  • Jonathan Majors as Kang the Conqueror: A "time-traveling, multiversal adversary" in the Quantum Realm who is an alternate-timeline variant of the character He Who Remains, the creator of the Time Variance Authority (TVA) introduced in the first season of Loki (2021).
  • Tom Cruise as Tony Stark / Superior Iron Man: An industrialist, genius inventor, and consummate playboy, he is CEO of Stark Industries from an alternate reality.
  • Jessica Alba as Sue Storm / Invisible Woman: An alternate version of Sue. Alba reprises her role from Story's Fantastic Four duology (2005-2007).
  • Michael Chiklis as Ben Grimm / The Thing: A member of the Fantastic Four from an alternate reality known for his trademark stone appearance that gives him super-strength. Chiklis reprises his role from Story's Fantastic Four duology (2005-2007).

Additionally, Millicent Simmonds and Noah Jupe portray Reed's children, Valeria and Franklin Richards.

At Marvel Studios' San Diego Comic-Con panel in July 2022, Kevin Feige announced that Phase Six of the Marvel Cinematic Universe would conclude with two ensemble films, Avengers: The Kang Dynasty and Avengers: Secret Wars, both to be released in 2025, and that Phase Six, along with Phase Four and Phase Five, would be part of The Multiverse Saga.
