Attack of the Friendly Donuts is the fourth episode of Splash and Bubbles Super Why!.
Premise[]
Ripple is having trouble understanding what a "donut" is. The Reeftown Rangers fly into the book The Friendly Donut.
Transcript[]
Bubbles: Hi. I'm so glad you're here. It's me, Bubbles. Welcome to Reeftown, where all of our saltwater friends live.
...
Bubbles and Ripple were playing finball. Bubbles had brought a glazed donut from her caregiver's house.
Ripple: What's that circle-shaped thing?
Bubbles: A donut.
Ripple: I don't get it. How am I supposed to understand what a donut is if I don't get it?
Bubbles: This sounds like a super big problem. And a super big problem needs us, the Reeftown Rangers.
She called the rest of the Reeftown Rangers and headed to the book club.
Bubbles: Together, we will solve Ripple's problem.
They headed inside as Ripple swam up to the podium.
Bubbles: Okay, Ripple. State your problem.
Ripple: I can't seem to understand what a donut is.
Everyone: Oh no!
Bubbles: Good question. And when we have a question, we look...
All: In a book!
Splash: Which book should we look in?
Dunk swam up to the bookshelf and pulled down the book The Friendly Donut.
Bubbles: Let's read the title of this book. The Friendly Donut. We know what we need to do. We need to jump into this book, and find the answer to Ripple's question. It's time to transform. Ready?
All: Ready!
Bubbles: Fins in. Put your fin in.
Everybody puts their fins/tail in.
Bubbles: Reeftown Rangers...
All: ...To the rescue!
They transformed and flew into the book.

Spikes: We're in the book The Friendly Donuts.
Dragonet: Let's read. There once was a group of living donuts who nobody understood. The donuts did not know how to make anybody understand them.
Spectral: That's just like me!
Dragonet: And that is why we are in this book. Both the citizens and Ripple don't understand something.
Splashachu: To the donuts!
Donuts: Hi.
Dragonet: Hello. We're the Reeftown Rangers, and we want to talk to you.
Donut: Nobody seems to understand who we are.
Dragonet: I'm sorry to hear that. But maybe, we can help you.
Donut: Really?
Citizens: Die, donuts! We hate you!
Spikes: Oh no! The citizens are not being nice!
Splashachu: Splashachu to the rescue! With my amazing alphabet tools, I can build the word "nice" and make the citizens nice.
He then built the word "nice."
Dragonet: Now, could you please just try to understand them?
Citizen: We can't. It's in our story.
He pointed at the story. It said, "The citizens misunderstand the donuts."
Donuts: So we can't do anything about it.
Dragonet: Ninja Dragonet to the rescue! With the power to read, I can change this story and save the day!
She swam over to three options: eats, ostracizes, or understands. She tried "eats."
The citizens started eating the donuts.
Dragonet: Umm... did "eats" help the citizens understand the donuts? Nope. Let's try "understands."
Citizens: We're really sorry we didn't understand you. Can you try explaining what you are?
Donut: We were originally evil after a chemical landed in a donut fryer we were in, but we changed sides.
Citizens: We understand now!
Donuts: Thank you, Reeftown Rangers. Goodbye!
All: Bye!
Dragonet: Why Flyers! Back to the book club!
They headed back to the book club, returned to their normal forms, and swam back to the computer.
Bubbles: Super Duper Computer! Give us our Super Story Answer!
The computer spelled out "EXPLAIN."
Bubbles: Our Super Story Answer is "explain." But why?
Splash: Because when the cititzens didn't understand the donuts, they had to have them explain.
Ripple: So my question is, what do I do if I don't understand what something is?
All: Have somebody explain!
...
Ripple: Bubbles, could you please explain to me what a donut is?
Bubbles: Sure. It's a ring of this stuff called dough that you dip in hot liquid and sugar.
Ripple: Thanks! Now I know what it is!
Bubbles: Hip, hip, hooray! The Reeftown Rangers saved the day!
