Worring for Ariel's safety, Hartman tells Ariel to get out of her apartment for a while which Ariel leave. Hartman took Ariel in the car to somewhere secretary while Beth packs Ariel's bag. Beth become attacked by a masked assailant - a hitman who Gordon hired in Ariel's apartment. The hitman stabbed her in the abdomen before she overpowers and shoots him dead.

Ariel is a hard-working and tough cop who wants to get justice for as many victims that she encounters as possible. She first struggles to comprehend justice in her own mind because her stepfather's longtime abuse. But when she gets involved with Chloe Hartman and the MCS, she finally begins understand everything and gains the drive to get justice for herself. After she does, she develops an huge sympathy spot for sexual abuse victims and a huge hatred for predators, especially those who abuse children.
Despite being a police officer, Ariel secretly struggles with her stepfather's ongoing abuse of her which has been on-and-off over. Ariel is scared of telling anybody, worried about her mother and half-sister's safety and fearing her own life, due to Gordon threatening to kill her twice in the past.

Personality

Ariel is a hard-working and tough cop who wants to get justice for as many victims that she encounters as possible. She first struggles to comprehend justice in her own mind because her stepfather's longtime abuse. But when she gets involved with Chloe Hartman and the MCS, she finally begins understand everything and gains the drive to get justice for herself. After she does, she develops an huge sympathy spot for sexual abuse victims and a huge hatred for predators, especially those who abuse children.
