Anna (promoted in some territories as In Vogue: The Anna Wintour Story) is a 2018 British-American biographical drama film based on the life and career of British journalist and fashion editor Dame Anna Wintour. The film was directed by Phoebe Waller-Bridge, who also co-wrote the screenplay with Hallie Meyers-Shyer. It stars Christine Baranski in the title role, with Alexandra Daddario fronting a supporting cast as Wintour's daughter Bea Shaffer, Michael Douglas as her ex-husband David Shaffer and Ian McKellen as Charles Wintour. Claire Foy co-stars as a young Anna Wintour, Tommy Lee Jones portrays Shelby Bryan, Wintour's current love interest. Multiple celebrities also appear in cameo roles via archive footage.
The film was met with wide critical acclaim, with Baranski's performance as the sombre but blunt Wintour. Baranski earned her first Oscar win, and nomination, for her performance. She also earned a BAFTA, Golden Globe and a SAG award among others for her portrayal.
