An Arctic Story is a 2026 American animated survival adventure film produced by Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer and Laika. Directed by Travis Knight from a screenplay by James Ward Byrkit, the film stars the voices of Kelly Marie Tran, Rachel Bloom, Joan Cusack, Julia Louis-Dreyfus, Adelyn Labaron, Ti Woody Clements, Ashaya Laurel, Magda Szubanski, and Alexander Skarsgård. It tells the story of the life cycle of two creatures: Iris the polar bear and Oÿ the walrus through exciting and narrowing struggles for survival. Armed with only their natural instincts and mothers' guidance, these inspiring animals face countless trials and challenges in a beautiful icebound world that is rapidly melting beneath them.

An Arctic Story was released in theaters in the United States on May 21, 2027 by Amazon MGM Studios. Critical response[]

An Arctic Story received general universal acclaim from critics. On Rotten Tomatoes, the film has an 95% approval rating based on 289 reviews. The site's critical consensus reads, "An Arctic Story is well-crafted, charming, appealing, beautiful to look at, and accurately scientifically representative of the Arctic and its animals". On Metacritic, the film received a score of 82 out of 100 based on 32 critics, indicating "universal acclaim". Audiences polled by CinemaScore gave the film a grade of "A" on an A+ to F scale.
