The American mammoth is a species of mammoth that lives in North America. It is among many species of native American elephants, along with American Mammoths, Urban Mammoths, American Southern Mammoths, American Northern Mammoths, American Northwestern Mammoths, and American Mastodons. It is related to Woolly Mammoths and Columbian Mammoths. It resembles a wWolly mammoth, but with tusks and skin similar to African elephants. It is about two and the half times larger than the African white rhinoceros. This species lives in all across the USA, mostly western and mid-western parts of the USA, including southern California, Nevada, Utah, Colorado, Wyoming, Arizona, Oregon, etc. It prefers both wet and dry areas including swamps, marshlands, forests, meadows, grasslands, savannahs, and grassland-like scrublands, but also thrives well in human settlements.
