History: James Bond was born in Washington, D.C. of an American father, Andrew Bond of New York City, and a Swiss mother, Monique Delacroix of Yverdon-les-Bains Canton de Vaud. His father being a foreign sales representative for a leading defense contractor, his early education, from which he inherited a first-class command of French and German, was entirely abroad. When Bond was eleven years old, his parents were killed in a mountain-climbing accident in France. After their deaths, he was homeschooled by his aunt and guardian, Charmaine Bond in Brookhaven, New York. From age 14 to 15, Bond attended Phillips Academy preparatory school until being expelled for repeated curfew violations and "trouble" with one of the maids. He then transferred to his father's alma mater, New York Military Academy. Throughout his teens, Bond spent time studying both climbing and skiing with an Austrian instructor named Hannes Oberhauser during term breaks at NYMA. His one strong relationship, this friendship ended when Oberhauser disappeared mysteriously. Bond considered Oberhauser a second father.
After graduating from New York Military Academy, he began attending the United States Naval Academy. While there, Bond excelled in all areas of training and matriculated through his coursework with exceptional grades. He was also a member of the intramural karate team. Bond graduated from the Naval Academy with a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics and a commission as an Ensign in the United States Navy. He lost his one surviving close relative, his aunt Charmaine Bond, a few weeks after graduation. While at the Academy, Bond decided to become a Navy SEAL. After completing Basic Underwater Demolition/SEAL training, he attended parachute training and then went on to SEAL Qualification Training. Following his completion of SEAL Qualification Training, Bond was assigned to SEAL Team 2 as an assistant platoon commander. He later became a platoon commander. After a tour as a Basic Underwater Demolition/SEAL training instructor, Bond was reassigned to SEAL Team 2 as the operations officer. With numerous commendations, he left the U.S. Navy after eight years of distinguished service at the rank of Lieutenant.
Bond then moved to the city of his birth, Washington, D.C., where he found employment as a sales representative for a personal security services firm. A little over a year later, he applied to join the Central Intelligence Agency. Before Bond could join the Agency, he had to go through a thorough medical and psychological exam, a polygraph interview and an extensive background investigation. Upon successfully completing the entire application process, he was accepted as a clandestine service trainee. After an orientation period, Bond resigned from the private security company and went on to the CIA's Special Training Center, Camp Peary - "The Farm," near Williamsburg, Virginia for intensive operational training. There, he went through the Basic Operations Course, which trained him in so-called "operational intelligence" or "tradecraft" espionage skills.
After completing the Clandestine Service Trainee Program, Bond was given non-official cover status; meaning he is an operations officer without any official connection to the CIA and also without diplomatic protection if ever caught in an act of espionage. His "cover legend" was that he was a global account manager for Universal Exports, a maritime and cargo transportation security firm used as a front company by the CIA. While his primary duty as a CIA case officer was recruiting foreign agents, Bond was also involved in the interrogation of captured enemy agents and short-term undercover assignments during joint CIA-DEA counternarcotics operations in Latin America and Southeast Asia.
Four years into his career as a CIA officer, he was recruited into the Optimum Operations Section. The OO Section is an elite CIA unit that marks a return to classical methods of deep-cover unilateral espionage operations. Instead of relying on foreign human intelligence assets, OO Section field officers (known as "OO agents") physically infiltrate dangerous and sensitive enemy locations to gather the required intelligence by whatever means necessary. In other words, they go back to the nitty-gritty world of undercover spies out there in the field, risking their lives for the sake of taking a photograph or recording a conversation or copying a computer hard drive. Upon joining the OO Section, Bond was given the code number "OO7" and a new cover legend as a physical security analyst employed by Transworld Security LLC, an international security management consulting firm that is actually a CIA front company used exclusively by the OO Section. Like his previous cover, that gives him the cover to travel frequently. As an OO agent, Bond is used in situations where more than one operative - even though highly secret - would arouse too much attention. By assuming a false identity and utilizing the most advanced espionage technology, he goes deep undercover to infiltrate secure installations, seize critical intelligence, destroy dangerous data or equipment, and neutralize the enemy as needed, without leaving a trace.
Because the OO Section operates independent of the official U.S. national security apparatus, Bond is given carte blanche to do whatever is required to accomplish a mission and can use any means he deems necessary to protect America. For example, he is essentially entrusted with a license to kill—the authorization to, at his own discretion, commit acts that might otherwise be considered murder in order to complete a mission, without having to seek permission from headquarters first.
James Bond has proven himself to be one of the most extraordinary officers in the CIA's employ.
Weight: 185 lbs.
Strength Level: James Bond possesses the normal strength level of a man of his size, height and build who engages in extensive regular exercise.
Abilities: Bond is as tough and accomplished as the average commando. He is muscular and an impressive physical specimen, but is infinitely more scientific. In general, he fights with tenacity and has a high tolerance of pain. He is an expert in karate, can kill with a chop of his hand and with the well-placed pressure of his fingers. In addition to being an expert pistol shot and boxer, Bond is an expert knife thrower; he knows how to use knifes and he knows how to use razors. Long before he joined the CIA, Bond has used a system of mnemonics, where he can store thousands of pieces of information of any kind to memory or filed away, available for immediate recall, in the computer of his memory. Most information was related to work, so were best not committed to writing in any case. Bond is also skilled with languages, and speaks fluently without accent in Italian, Spanish, French and German, and speaks, reads and writes a passable Arabic, Mandarin, Russian and Japanese.
