American Horror Story: Laboratory is the eleventh season of the FX horror anthology television series American Horror Story.
It premiered on September 7th, 2021 and concluded on November 2nd, 2021.
Returning cast members from previous seasons include: Evan Peters, Sarah Paulson, Lily Rabe, Denis O'Hare, Kathy Bates, Taissa Farmiga, Frances Conroy, Matt Bomer and Jessica Lange.
Laboratory has been labelled the most intriguing season to date and has been the recipient of critical acclaim.
Plot[]
In 21st Century Arizona, Van Bakker Scientifics, a struggling research laboratory run by Dr Bram Van Bakker (Evan Peters) is given one last opportunity to find a breakthrough in the psychology behind human fear by his only investor, Kathleen Huntington (Lily Rabe). After seeking volunteers, Van Bakker teams up with Huntington to expose the true fears of six innocent participants:
- India Bradbury, a physics teacher with a phobia of spiders (Sarah Paulson)
- Xavier Parker, a supermarket cashier struggling to support his wife and three children (Denis O'Hare)
- Felicity Jacobs, a retired divorcée estranged from her grown daughter (Jessica Lange)
- Trudy Murray, a bored housewife who lies to her husband, saying she's doing jury duty (Kathy Bates)
- Josie Hope, an intelligent young drifter who hopes that by participating she can secure a place at MIT. (Taissa Farmiga)
- Alex Young, a closeted actor who's also a serial killer known locally as "The Arizona Nightmare" (Matt Bomer).
Trapped in a puzzling maze of Van Bakker's creation, the six must face their fears and face one another to guarantee escape, but unbeknownst to Van Bakker, Huntington has a connection to each volunteer, and she has only revenge on her mind.
