Amelia's ex-boyfriend Thomas Fennweld (Bill Skarsgård) shows up to assert custody of him and Amelia's son, the secretive manager Rhonda Guilles (Christine Baranski) is revealed as a medium and makes contact with the remaining soul remnants of missing Judy Grace from the beginning.

A box arrives at Apartment 602, Amelia, Andrew, Colby and Janice's shared home (formerly the home of Judy Grace and her daughter) containing 4 items, one with a letter pertaining to each of them.

Amelia unwraps a Zuni toy doll for her, Andrew a porcelain clown doll, Colby a devil doll and Janice a twisted little girl doll.

It is then revealed that the Apartment in 1904 belonged to a dollmaker who lost his wife and children in a tragic fire and left only with his dolls made a deal with the Devil to have them come to being and be his surrogate children.

However the dolls were embodied with the souls with little devils who would serve as collectors for Satan.

They would claim anyone within the area of their summoning and make them one of them.

Manager Guilles is revealed as the descendant of a long line of salem mediums of the local area who were great adversaries of the Devil and his minions.

Guilles ends in critical condition after a brutal attack and Amelia comes to realize her sons' claims that the dolls in particular his are alive are true.

Janice is killed as her twisted little girl doll comes to bleed her dry with broken glass from a vodka bottle and a straight razor whilest she is bathing.

Her death is ruled as a suicide.

However after the scene of her death is initially processed and coroners are sent for to collect the body it has vanished and has all evidence a death even occurred.

Amelia then comes to visit Rhonda at the hospital who passes her psychic abilities onto her as she flatlines due to her sustained injuries.

That night when the dolls sprout to life and begin to run through the apartment Amelia can hear them conversing and discussing methods of soul extraction.

She witnesses first hand Colby's devil doll sitting on his bed talking to him which twists and turns to look at the interrupting Amelia who freaks out and is rendered unconsious as the other dolls set a tripwire at Colby's bedroom doorway.
