ellen ripley, survivor of the first movie, having been in hyber-sleep for 57 years, returns to the space colony where she first encountered a xenomorph. now, her and her new crew (vasquez, hudson, ferro, apone, hicks, bishop, gorman, dietrich, spunkmeyer, drake, frost, crowe, weirzbowski, her doctor, burke, and a rescued young colonist nicknamed newt) are on a spaceship called the sulaco and are encountering a xenomorph. but not just one alien... aliens!
