Ajay Jindal is a main character in the American crime drama, Law & Order: New Orleans.
Biography & Personality
Born in Orlando, Florida in May 1986, Ajay Jindal grew up as the son of Hindu immigrants from India. From a young age, Jindal and his younger sister were groomed for success. As an adult, he attended Harvard University, and graduated with Master's Degrees in Criminology and Criminal Law. Torn between becoming a police officer and a lawyer, Jindal joined the D.A.'s office as an Investigator as a balance of both.
Jindal is currently unmarried and childless.
Jindal has a black-and-white view of the law, feeling that anyone who breaks it should get just punishment, regardless of the circumstances. However, he doesn't hesitate to show leniency when it is warranted. Jindal also has a strong value for family given to him by his mother, stating that family is important above all.
In the twelfth season premiere, Jindal is assigned to be Gino Carcaterra's new partner, replacing the departed Shilo Bennett. Though Gino intially gives a chilly reception, the two eventually bond over drinks after a case.
