Adult Swim (formerly known as Kanal Prince Bih) is a Swedish free-to-air television channel owned by Warner Bros. Discovery, and was launched on June 22, 2007.
History[]
In October 2005, Radio- och TV-verket (English: Swedish Radio and TV Authority) announced that there will be a new SBS-owned general entertainment channel under the working title known as Kanal5+, which was meant to air programs that are from Tattoo with less art and tattoo-related programs.
The channel was launched on June 22nd, 2007 by SBS Broadcasting Group replacing the art channel, Tattoo, after having an agreement with the company, NBCUniversal. The channel started as a general entertainment (and a complement to Kanal 5) aimed towards all audiences. In the early times, the channel showed mostly criminal drama and several children's programming.
In 2012, Kanal 5, Kanal 9, Kanal 11 and the channel got acquired by Discovery Communications (now known as Discovery, Inc.)
On June 5, 2013, Kanal Prince Bih began to change its focus from being a general entertainment channel to a youth channel that airs animated series, sitcoms, and movies that are aimed towards young adults.
In 2017, The channel began to air programs that are from Discovery Channel and TLC and rebranded a new logo. Some of the idents were licensed by Modern Times Group, which the channel is reusing TV6 Sweden's 2010 idents, along with their original bumpers.
On January 15, 2024, Kanal Prince Bih (alongside REX in Norway and 5X in Denmark) was rebranded as a 24-hour Adult Swim channel.

KanalPrinceBih.se was the channel's official website that allows to know information about the programs, and watch some episodes on a former online video on demand service, Prince Play. In 2015, the channel's website got replaced by the streaming service, Discovery+ (formerly known as Dplay).

- Kanalen efter mörkrets inbrott (The Channel After Dark) - A late-night block that airs criminal series, latest movies, and reruns from Kanal Prince Bih, the block was aimed towards young adults, and the programming block was broadcasting from 10:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m. The block was launched in 2013 and was closed in 2018, in which Kanal Prince Bih becomes a 24-hour television channel.
- Skolan (School) - A short-lived morning block that airs adult animated series that are milder like Dilbert, Samurai Jack, Where My Dogs At?, and O'Grady, with YouTube series like SMG4 and Shut Up! Cartoons and the block even aired the most popular Goanimate (Vyond) videos. It was aired on Wednesdays from 8:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. It was launched on December 31, 2014, and was closed on December 23, 2015.
- The Pac-Man Simpsons Guy! - An evening block that airs mostly known programs including The Simpsons, Family Guy, Judge Judy, Dr. Phil, COPS, Pac-Man and the Ghostly Adventures, and America's Funniest Home Videos. It airs mainly from 5:00 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. before the daily newscast begins and sometimes airs in the afternoon. It was launched in 2014 and was closed in 2016. It is almost similar to Fox's Animation Domination in America.

After the launch in Sweden, SBS Broadcasting Group, or Discovery Communications Nordic have launched Kanal Prince Bih in Latin America and Finland.
Latin American version of this channel was launched on June 22, 2014 by Discovery Latin America, while Finnish version of this channel was launched on May 1, 2009. In Scandinavia its counterparts are REX in Norway and 5X in Denmark.
