A Nightmare Carol is a Christmas-themed horror comedy short film starring Emily Hunt, Danielle Harris and Nick Mennell, written by S. Craig Zahler and directed by Charles Band from same work of Thanksgiving horror short, Turkey Murderous. This film will be horror retelling of Charles Dickens' A Christmas Carol. The film will globally released on Christmas Eve in December 25, 2023 on FalcoTalon+.
Plot[]
On Christmas Eve in Illinois, a teenager Serena is visited in her dream by a series of ghosts: the Ghosts of Christmas Past, Christmas Present and Christmas Yet to Come. They show Serena how her mean behavior has affected those around her involving bullying and humiliations. Her life turned upside down when she finds herself haunted by the series of dark past. Will she changes her heart or it was just a bad dream?
Synopsis[]
Serena was nestled cozily in her bed on Christmas Eve and was excited for tomorrow's festivities. Little did she know, this night would be anything but peaceful.
Suddenly, a loud BOO! startled her. She opened her eyes, only to find a ghostly figure standing in her room. Serena's heart sank.
The Ghost of Christmas Past began to show her visions of the past and how her mean behavior was affecting those around her. She could see how her bullying and humiliation had hurt her classmates and even her family. Serena was filled with sadness and regret as the reality of her actions dawned upon her.
The Ghost of Christmas Present then appeared and showed her how her actions had changed the present. Serena was ashamed to see how her negative behavior had cost her friends and estranged her from her family.
The Ghost of Christmas Yet to Come warned her of a dark future if she didn't change her heart. When she finds herself in the graveyard, she sees her family have attended her funeral along with two students she bullied them. Serena vowed to change her heart, but the three ghosts declared that her boring life will ends up dead in heaven. A helpless Serena attempts to run away, but the ghosts trapped her in the hell, where she awaits to be killed.
When Serena woke up the next morning screaming in horror, she was filled with dread. Was this all just a bad dream or a reality that had to be faced? She knew then she had to make a change.
But when she runs downstairs, her entire family were found dead. In reality, she found her brother's opened present in which revealed to be her mother's decapitated head. Serena screams in terror (like Kevin's the scream) as the film ends. Followed by the ghost's voice "Merry Christmas, b*ch!".

(Serena witnesses her childhood self breaking her friend's toy)
Serena: I don't do this anything!
All she wants for Christmas....
(Serena backs off in fear when the Ghost of Present shows up)
Ghost of Christmas Present: Do you think you try to abandon your home?!
Serena: NO! It's not true! It was a piece of f*king joke!

(A Ghost of Yet to Come revealing her true color and Serena gasped in terror upon seeing the grave with her name on it)
Serena: Oh, God! It cannot be!

Ghost of Christmas Yet to Come: This is where you meet your own fate!
(Serena's eyes opened widely in fear as the Ghost revealing herself as a creepy, yet funny-looking grim reaper)
