A Muppet Summer is American musical comedy spy science fiction film produced and released by Walt Disney Pictures. Directed by James Bobin and written by Bobin and Nicholas Stoller, the film—the ninth theatrical film featuring the Muppets—is a sequel to 2011's The Muppets and 2014's Muppets Most Wanted and stars Mark Wahlberg, Jennifer Lawrence, Al Pacino, Shailene Woodley, Andrew Garfield, Emma Stone, Jai Courtney and Liam Neeson.
Plot[]
The Muppets decide to do a 4th of July Spectacular in San Diego. There, Kermit and Miss Piggy seemed to be having relationship troubles, so they decide to head to a couples retreat camp, which seems to be nextdoor to a genetics company building, and be back by 4th of July afternoon. But while there, Kermit and Miss Piggy bond with the genetics company's employees but they are unknowingly become targets of an evil genetics businessman who plans on taking over the world by leading an army of mutated animals and Kermit and Miss Piggy are next. While preparing for their 4th of July Spectaculer, Walter ends up teaming up with an F.B.I. agent who is sent to investitgate the same businessman and save Kermit and Miss Piggy, but are interupted by the businesman's henchman but get help from people along the way. Meanwhile, Gonzo and Fozzie help english actor Andrew Garfield trying to find a way for Andrew to propose to his girlfriend, actress Emma Stone.

- Jennifer Lawrence as Liz Fline, an FBI agent sent to investigate Starkweather Genecorp who also helps Walter save Kermit and Miss Piggy.
- Mark Wahlberg as Bill Ologist, a geneticist and the chief science officer for Starkweather Genecorp who is ordered to make Kermit and Miss Piggy into mutated animals. As a teen, he was a with a nice heart. But after his girlfriend died, he becomes sarcastic and careless.
- Al Pacino as Mr. (Lance) Starkweather, the greedy and sadistic owner of Starkweather Genecorp and a pawn to a syndicate of disgraced Hollywood Directors who orders Dr. Ologist to mutate Kermit and Miss Piggy. He was a former U.S. Air Force colonel who was accused of illegal animal mutation in Area 51. He plans on making an army of mutated animals to take over the world.
