A Haunted House 3 is a 2018 American science fiction horror comedy parody film, which parodies the horror, sci-fi, action, mystery, romance, & thriller genres, directed by Marlon Wayans. It is the third film of A Haunted House series. This film's plot significantly parodies the main films Paranormal Activity, Don't Breathe, Lights Out, Rings, Get Out, & the Child's Play series.

Plot[]

"The misadventures of Malcolm and his new significant other continue in 'A Haunted House 3' as they move into a new house, only to find that it's haunted by multiple spirits from different genres. At first, they encounter a ghostly presence that seems straight out of 'Paranormal Activity.' Malcolm and Kisha try to capture it on camera, but soon realize that this ghost is not alone. As they investigate further, they discover that their house is also being stalked by a blind, murderous man with heightened senses, a la 'Don't Breathe.' They must use all their wits and skills to evade him and stay alive.

But that's not all. Another entity starts haunting them, one that can only exist in the dark, like in 'Lights Out.' Every time the lights go out, it gets closer to them, threatening to consume them. To make matters worse, they receive a mysterious videotape with a cursed video on it, like in 'Rings.' Every time they watch it, they get closer to their inevitable doom.

As if that weren't enough, they also have to deal with a twisted family that brainwashes black people and auctions them off as slaves, as in 'Get Out.' Malcolm and Kisha must find a way to escape their clutches and expose their evil deeds. And just when they think they've seen it all, their possessed doll, Abigail, returns with a vengeance, a la the 'Child's Play' series. It's up to them to destroy it once and for all.

Throughout the film, Malcolm and Kisha must navigate through these different genres, poking fun at their tropes and conventions, while also facing their fears and learning to work together to survive. They enlist the help of a psychic, Chip, who was a key player in the first 'A Haunted House' film, and Miguel, their neighbor from 'A Haunted House 2,' who has some experience in dealing with supernatural occurrences.

Together, they devise a plan to take on each of the different entities haunting their house, using their knowledge of horror movie tropes to their advantage. They set traps for the blind man, rig the house with emergency lights for the dark entity, and try to reverse the curse of the videotape.

In the climactic scene, they face off against the twisted family in a battle for their lives, with the help of some unexpected allies. And finally, they must destroy Abigail once and for all, using all the knowledge they've gained from their previous experiences.

In the end, Malcolm and Kisha emerge victorious, having defeated the supernatural and human threats that haunted them. They move out of the house and onto new adventures, but not before acknowledging that their experiences have made them stronger as a couple."
