Tom and Jerry is an 2016 live action, CGI comedy-drama cast ensemble film based on the Hanna Barbera shorts of Tom and Jerry. The film stars Justin Long, Bailee Madison, Kate Hudson, Nicholas D'Agosto, Kirsten Dunst, Brendan Fraser, Alyson Hannigan, Tobey Maguire, Ellie Kemper, G. Hannelius and Matthew Broderick.
Summary
Set between September and October 1991, a teenage girl who is the daughter of a former Broadway producer and a late baker who is routinely exploited by her wicked nanny, suddenly starts to leave New York and move on Chicago and meets a young cat named Tom and a mouse named Jerry. But she is excited about the prospect of meeting her pen pal beau at the school's Halloween dance.
In 2016, Mikaela, an aspiring Broadway actress in Chicago, has her life beseted with troubles and suddenly meets her father and her estrange mother's teenagehood pets, Tom and Jerry, only to know that her estrange mom has cancer.
