A City In Peril: The Next Chaos Emeralds! is the second episode of Sonic Shockwave.
Synopsis[]
The group helps a small city with a big threat, in return, they'll receive two Chaos Emeralds.
Recap[]
The group is walking through South Island, when they find a small city, everyone in the city seems shocked and scared. They talk to the mayor and discover the city has been under attack from a beast all month. The mayor offers a reward if they fight off the beast: two Chaos Emeralds. The group agrees to help.
When the group finds the beast, Amy is shocked from how big and burly it is. While the rest of the group attempts to fight the beast. Sonic tries to find a way to trap it. After trapping it, the group heads back to the city to receive the Chaos Emeralds. However, it turns out the beast freed himself and starts going on a rampage in the village. When Sonic charges toward the monster at his highest speed with a spindash, the beast is launched all the way to a far mountain, ending the battle.
Later in the day, the mayor holds a celebration and rewards the group not only with medals, but with the two Chaos Emeralds the mayor had on him, bringing the emerald total up to three. After the fact, the group walks away, awaiting the next chapter in their journey. However, Eggman was watching from the start, and it turns out the beast was just a bot created by him. The doctor laughs evilly as two mysterious figures in shadow appear behind Eggman. Ending the Episode.
