The film also stars Agrafena Emshwiller, Helen Moneypenny, Scout Taylor-Compton, Kristina Klebe, Jamie Bernadette, and Matt Dallas. The film was released on DVD and Blu-ray in December 24, 2021.

Plot[]

During the Christmas holiday at Winterfall University's Beta-Gamma-Zeta sorority house, five sorority sisters encounter a cruel teacher named Karen, who abuses them so cruelty. In response, the sisters decide to take revenge by pulling the pranks on her in return. However, their plans take a dark turn when they discover that Karen is not just a bad teacher, but actually an ugly creature named Krampus, revealing a shocking twist that goes beyond their initial conflict.

Synopsis[]

The biting wind of a Winterfall Christmas vacation whipped around Alicia as she hurried towards the Beta-Gamma-Zeta sorority house. Snow crunched under her UGG boots, the twinkling lights strung across the campus offering little warmth against the encroaching darkness. She pulled her scarf tighter, a shiver running down her spine, a premonition of dread that had nothing to do with the cold. It was just semester break when all hell breaks loose.

Inside the sorority house, the air buzzed with festive energy. A Christmas tree, laden with ornaments, dominated the living room. Laughter and chatter echoed from the kitchen as Meganโ€”the university's Madonna look-alike and resident divaโ€”supervised the cookie decorating. Brie, the star cheerleader, practiced her routines in the corner, her pom-poms a blur of red and white. Tara, the Scream Queen, regaled everyone with tales from her childhood acting gigs, her dramatic flair never failing to entertain. And at the heart of it all was Sonia, the sorority's leader, her eyes sparkling with a mix of excitement and a subtle, underlying anxiety.

Their holiday cheer was shattered the next day in Professor Karen's History class. Miss Karen, with her severe bun, piercing gaze, and perpetually pursed lips, was universally despised. Her lectures were dry, her grading was harsh, and her general demeanor wasโ€ฆ unpleasant. Today, she was especially vicious, berating Lynn, the sorority's brain, for a minor formatting error on her research paper. Lynn, usually unflappable, visibly wilted under the teacher's relentless criticism.

"That woman is a monster," Sonia fumed back at the sorority house. "We have to do something."

The others readily agreed. Miss Karen had been singling them out for weeks, making their lives a misery. A prank war was declared.

First came the glitter bomb in her office. Then the switching of her meticulously organized notes. A rubber chicken mysteriously appeared in her briefcase. Miss Karen's face grew a shade darker with each incident, her tight-lipped disapproval slowly morphing into something more sinister.

But the pranks weren't enough. They needed to escalate. Sonia, fueled by her love of the horror genre, proposed something bolder: they would break into her office, find her grade book, andโ€ฆ "adjust" a few scores.

That night, armed with flashlights and a healthy dose of trepidation, they crept through the deserted halls of the university. The silence was heavy, broken only by the squeak of Sonia's sneakers. They jiggled the lock to Miss Karen's office and slipped inside.

The room was even more sterile and unsettling than they remembered. Bookshelves overflowed with dusty tomes, rows of ancient, leather-bound texts and in the corner was a peculiar looking fireplace poker. A faint smell of sulfur hung in the air. As they rummaged through the drawers, Sonia stumbled upon a hidden compartment. Inside, nestled amongst official university documents, was a bizarre mask. It was made of coarse, dark fur, adorned with twisted horns.

Before she could react, the door slammed open, and there stood Miss Karen. But something was different. Her eyes glowed with an unnatural fire, and her face was contorted in a grotesque snarl. Her voice, usually sharp and clipped, was now a guttural growl.

"You shouldn't have come here," she hissed, her voice sending chills down their spines.

Then, with a speed that defied her age, she lunged.

Panic erupted. The girls scattered, screaming. Alicia wasn't so lucky. Miss Karen, or rather, something pretending to be Miss Karen, grabbed her, her grip inhumanly strong. Before anyone could react, a monstrous, clawed hand plunged into Alicia's chest. Alicia's scream died in her throat as she collapsed to the floor, her eyes wide with terror.

The creature that had been Miss Karen threw back her head and let out a deafening bellow. In the chaos, the remaining girls fled, the image of Alicia's mangled body seared into their minds.

The university was placed on lockdown, but it was too late. The evil had been unleashed.

Megan was found dead in the cafeteria, posed grotesquely with a shattered disco ball, a mocking tribute to her idol. Danny, Tara's childhood friend who had come to visit for the holidays, was impaled on a giant candy cane in the university square, a macabre mockery of festive cheer. Brie was electrocuted with Christmas lights, her cheerleader spirit snuffed out in a horrifying display. Edmond, Lynn's boyfriend and star football player, was stabbed five times with the same fireplace poker Sonia saw in her office. Woody, Sonia's classmate, was stabbed through his eye with the top of a Christmas tree. Mr. Curtis, the math teacher, was burned to death with acid liquid. Miss Klump, the university's dean, was pushed through the window.

Officer Darwin, a young policeman tasked with protecting the university, was found gutted, his heart ripped out.

Tara, ever the Scream Queen, managed to evade the creature longer than most. But her luck ran out in the library. The creature, now fully transformed into a horrifying, horned monstrosity โ€“ the Krampus of old folklore โ€“ cornered her. With chilling precision, it plunged the fireplace poker, the same one Sonia had seen in Miss Karen's office, deep into Tara's brain.

Lynn, the smart girl, tried to outwit the Krampus, using her intelligence to predict its movements. But even her sharp mind couldn't compete with the creature's supernatural cunning. She was cornered in the chapel and stabbed to death.

Only Sonia was left. Driven by grief, fueled by rage, and armed with a security guard's dropped handgun, she hunted the Krampus down. She found it in the gym, looming over a pile of bodies.

The Krampus turned, its eyes burning with malevolent glee. Sonia fired. The bullets ripped through the Krampus's flesh, but it barely seemed to notice. She emptied the clip, firing six shots at the monster that was once Miss Karen and it fell to the ground.

Sonia stood over the fallen Krampus, her body shaking with exhaustion and adrenaline. As she looked down at the beast, she realized that it no longer looked like Miss Karen.

The Krampus lay still and Sonia collapsed, the weight of everything finally crashing down on her. The screams, the blood, the faces of her dead friendsโ€ฆ it was all too much.

She woke up in a sterile hospital room, IV drips attached to her arm, the rhythmic beeping of a heart monitor filling the silence. A doctor stood beside her, his expression grave.

"You're lucky to be alive, Sonia," he said. "You were found unconscious in the gym. Suffering from severe shock and trauma. The police are investigating, butโ€ฆ" He trailed off, shaking his head. "It's a horrible situation."

Sonia stared at the ceiling, her mind slowly piecing together the fragmented memories. The pranks, Miss Karen, the mask, the Krampusโ€ฆ it all felt like a nightmare. But she knew, deep down, that it was real.

As the doctor left the room, Sonia closed her eyes, and drifted back to sleep. When she's asleep, she saw all of her friends were alive and well. As if nothing happened. She opens her eyes and smiled. "What a bad dream...", she said to herself before drifted back to sleep.

The terror of Winterfall was over, but the scars would remain. Sonia had survived, but the price of survival was a burden she would carry forever. The Christmas season would never be the same. The memory of the Krampus and the horrific events that unfolded would forever haunt the hallowed halls of Beta-Gamma-Zeta and the entire university. For Winterfall, the holiday season would forever be stained with blood and the chilling reminder that sometimes, the monsters of folklore are more real than we dare to believe.
