5X (Kanal 5 Extra) is a Danish pay television channel that is owned by Discovery Networks Nordic and was launched on June 22, 2014, replacing the Norwegian and Danish versions of the Universal Channel. The channel currently airs programs that are from Discovery Channel, animations, and movies. Unlike the Swedish counterpart Kanal Prince Bih (which shows mostly comedies, dramas, animations, sports, and the latest films); the channel lost its rights to many series, and that's might be the reason why they only broadcast animations and programs that are from Discovery.
